Harry Potter hunk Matthew Lewis is unrecognisable from his Neville Longbottom days as he flaunts ripped abs in new drama

Few Harry Potter stars have changed as much as Matthew Lewis, who played hapless Neville Longbottom in the hit films.

His transformation from awkward teen Neville to a hot hunk is so dramatic that the word ‘Longbottomed’ has been coined to refer to such a dramatic transformation.

Since first shocking fans with his grown-up appearance, Matthew has caused hearts to flutter and eyes to pop all over again as he appears in his new role SHIRTLESS, boasting some very impressive abs.

The 28-year-old actor is starring in new ITV show Girlfriends, and in one very racy scene, Matthew appeared fresh out the shower wearing nothing but boxer shorts.

Naturally, social media went wild for the sight of Matthew’s toned torso.

“Watching “girlfriends “ and what the hell is Neville Longbottom doing in his pants?” asked one.

“It just feels wrong finding Neville Longbottom so attractive” commented another.

While a third pondered: “I’m not sure Neville Longbottom looked like that in Harry Potter…”

Since Potter Matthew has appeared in cop series Happy Valley and Ripper Street.

Girlfriends stars Miranda Richardson, Zoë Wanamaker and Phyllis Logan as childhood friends .
